AWAKEN TOGETHER: Private Women's Meditation Sangha

You are invited to awaken into the deepest truth of who you are:  pure love and freedom within.  Perhaps you are a frequent meditator, but wish to learn ways to deepen your consistent practice.  Perhaps you have tried meditation but have felt like you "failed" to meditate because your mind won't become quiet (Hint: you haven't failed).  Maybe you are looking for a way to begin a commited practice and wish to have a group of like-minded meditators to learn from.  For all of these reasons, I have decided to create this Sangha for us.  

Meditation is a way to open up into that which is hidden beneath the layers of our suffering with feelings of inadequacy or competitiveness which has been fostered by our modern western society.  Our modern society has created feelings of unworthiness, self-judgement and the loss of our true nature for so many of us...mindfulness meditation is the way we may begin to accept ourselves for who we are in the most loving and tender way. Through a consistent meditation practice, we begin to access pure joy and liberation. 

I have been teaching Yoga and Meditation from the Yogic lineage for 13 years and now finishing up my practicum portion to become a Certified Professional Mindfulness Meditation Teacher with mentors Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield as my guides.  I first began this program simply as a way to deepen my own commitment to my meditaiton practice and to heal the ways I continue to suffer in my own life. This program has been a potent, life-changing experience and I wish to serve as many folks as I can with the lessons I have learned.  This practice is really to open up our inner world and with compassionate awareness, foster a sense of peace and acceptance with the life that we are living.  What I teach is really about simply "BEING" with what arises in life with a nuturing presence.

We will be commited together to meet 1 day a week for 90 minutes at a Home or quiet outdoor space of your group’s cholosing, for 6 weeks.  We will decide on a time that works for all of us in your group.  A home inside or outside without much distraction or a clubhouse that you are a member of works well too. During these gatherings, I will be sharing specific meditation practices to culitvate your own meditation practice, reduce your stress, and access pure acceptance and love for yourself and for all others.  The safe container we create together will also invite us to share with one another our own personal experiences and challenges throughout this commited practice.  My hope is that together, we form a bond that will continue to grow and that this Sangha will continue in some way moving forward.

May we come together in love, kindness and peace and may we encircle one another with care along this journey towards our own liberation through meditation.
